GTI featured on King 5 News for lowering emissions


Gary Chittim of King 5 News visited Gordon Trucking’s headquarters in Pacific on Thursday, Dec 3 covering a story on local industries lowering diesel emissions.

Chittim presented GTI’s newest tactic of installing aerodynamic side-skirts below its trailers to reduce the amount of drag caused when in motion and ultimately reducing fuel emissions.

“Gordon Trucking is changing trailers from the bottom up,” said Chittim.

Kirk Altrichter, Vice-President of Maintenance is interviewed by Chittim in the broadcast. Altrichter recently received Seattle Business Magazines “Green Award” and SmartWay Transports “Environmental Excellence Award” on behalf of GTI.

In the broadcast, King 5 also paid credit to GTI’s new self-inflating tires and use of alternative power sources within it its cabs.
