
GTI wins Kellogg’s Regional Carrier of the Year Award
The Kellogg Company has awarded Gordon Trucking Inc its 2009 Regional Carrier of the Year honor.
The award which measures service, EDI compliance, billing accuracy and safety was presented by VP of Transportation and Distribution, Richard Dregne to Chief Operating Officer, Steve Gordon on April 29 at GTI headquarters in Pacific, Wash.
The regional carrier group comprises deliveries made directly to Kellogg’s customers.
Associate Director of Transportation Procurement Barb Stephens said GTI scored forty points higher than the runner-up carrier, specifically recognizing GTI’s success in safety, service and invoice accuracy.
The Kellogg Company provided cereal and pop tarts for breakfast for all GTI associates and Tony the Tiger was also on hand to entertain the kids.
“We are proud to receive such a prestigious honor in what is a very tough category,” said Gordon. “Our performance was scrutinized against the nation’s top carriers and we are humbled by our selection.”
