GTI honored at TCA Safety Awards
LAS VEGAS – Gordon Trucking Inc was awarded second place among large carriers at the Truckload Carriers Association Safe Fleet Awards on March 2.
Placement in the category was determined by overall Department of Transportation reportable accident frequency. GTI was judged in the sixth division in which carriers must haul more than 100 million miles per year in order to qualify.
In all, 18 carriers from six divisions were recognized at the awards ceremony.
“We are honored to have our safety performance recognized at this level,” said Chief Operating Officer Steve Gordon. “We want to thank our associates for their tremendous focus on safety and will continue to make it our top priority.”
Last July, Gordon Trucking Inc was awarded Washington State’s Safest Fleet by the State Patrol and Washington Trucking Association the third consecutive year. Being honored at the national level reinforces the company’s commitment to safety.
